We still have a few openings left for our inaugural three-day weekend retreat, The 2015 Halloween Writer’s Bash. Open applications begin July 1 for the 2016 Spring Retreat. Space is limited, therefore early application is highly recommended.

The Ossabaw Island Writers’ Spring Retreat will be held March 04-09, 2016. Located just twenty minutes from downtown Savannah, GA., the retreat offers lectures, readings, workshops, and manuscript consultations.

The unspoiled beauty of Ossabaw Island has attracted writers, artists, and musicians to live on the island for short periods of reflection, research, and creativity in the mid-to-late 20th century. Ralph Ellison, Annie Dillard, and Alice Walker, are among those who have drawn inspiration from the island. Come join us for six days and five nights of writing, workshops and one-on-manuscript consultations with nationally recognized authors. Space is highly limited, therefore we strongly recommend early application submissions.

GOOD NEWSDue to the high demand for more opportunities to participate in the Ossabaw Island Writers’ Retreat, we will open applications in March, 2016 for our Fall 2016 Ossabaw Island Writers’ Retreat. Check back here, or follow us at facebook.com/OssabawIslandWritersRetreat or twitter @ossabawwriters for more information coming soon.
